Fabric and fiber has long been a favorite medium of mine to use in mixed media art. The Whimsical Weaving class is quick and easy and produces beautiful results every time. This is what I call the perfect Recycle-Reuse art project! Creating just one will not be enough! You can raid your stash for leftover Ribbon, Fabric, Yarn, and even Old Clothes can be cut up and used. For a finishing touch add some old jewelry, charms, buttons, or a personal memento. Your project will be complete with a 9×9 frame.
All Materials are provided. We even have a stash of scrap fabrics (dupioni silk, lace, tapestry, organza, and more….) from fashion designer, Lee Anderson.
Student supply list: All you need to bring is a pair of scissors. If you have any small favorite or personal items you would want to use as an embellishment please bring them.
