Bluegrass Festival Vendor Application

Saturday, June 17, 12 – 4 pm

Food and craft artisans are invited to apply for an outdoor spot at the third annual Savage Mill Bluegrass Festival. This popular festival attracts several hundred attendees for an afternoon of music and fun in our Little Lot.

Application deadline: Tuesday, February 28

There is no entrance fee. Accepted vendors will be assigned a 10′ x 10′ location.

Terms and Conditions

Attendance *

• If accepted, vendor agrees to attend the festival on Saturday, June 17. (Rain date: Saturday, June 24)

Arrival *

• Vendor agrees to arrive by 10 am to unload in Little Lot at their assigned 10'x10' location. Vehicles are to be moved to Big Lot.

Hours *

• Booth will be staffed and ready for visitors from 11:30 am - 4 pm. Teardown 4-5 pm.

Equipment *

• Vendor is required to supply own NFPA 701 compliant fire-rated canopy. Vendor will supply own table, chair, and professional-looking display.

Food Vendors *

• Food Vendors are required to procure a Howard County Temporary Food Service License. The application and payment must be submitted to the County at least 2 weeks prior to the event: https://www.howardcountymd.gov/health/temporary-food-event. No open flame is permitted.

Power *

• No power is provided. If needed, Vendor must provide own power and inform Savage Mill staff.

Wares *

• Vendor agrees to sell only the wares described in their application. This agreement does not include a non-compete clause; ie, although we have selected a diverse array of artisans, some may market similar wares.

Promotion *

• Vendor and Savage Mill will jointly promote Vendor's participation and promote the Festival.

Terms and Conditions *

• Vendor shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend Savage Mill from and against any and all costs, expenses (including reasonable counsel fees), liabilities, losses, damages, suits, actions, fines, penalties, claims or demands of any kind and asserted by or on behalf of any person or governmental authority, arising out of or in any way connected with, and Savage Mill shall not be liable to Vendor on account of (i) any failure by Vendor to perform any of the agreements, terms, covenants or conditions of this Agreement required to be performed by Vendor, (ii) any failure by Vendor to comply with any statutes, ordinances, regulations or orders of any governmental authority, or (iii) any accident, death or personal injury, or damage to property, which shall occur in or about the Vendor's location on the Property except the gross negligence and willful act of Savage Mill, its employees or agents. Vendor shall also pay all costs, expenses and reasonable attorneys' fees that may be incurred or paid by Savage Mill in enforcing the covenants and agreements of this Agreement.
