“Perfectly Imperfect Grungy Book of Secrets”

November 8, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

Instructors:  Terry Quinn and Diane Domer
Date:  Sunday, November 8th, 2020
Time: 10:30am – 5:00pm
Class Fee: $125.00

Description: Embrace the art of letting go of perfection as you create a one-of-a-kind gate-fold journal. This workshop is the ultimate art “hack” as your journal cover will be made from recycled shopping bags…..The possibilities are truly endless. You will create the signature pages from an array of papers, tip-ins, and pockets using found treasures, magazines, book pages, velum, napkins and envelopes. Terry and Diane have a stash of personal papers and materials that they will be sharing. They also encourage you to bring papers and items from your own personal stash ( and we know you all have a “stash”!) to incorporate into this amazingly imperfect journal. In class you will receive a generous kit containing all the instructions and materials needed to construct the core and guts of your journal. You will then have the time and opportunity to personalize and supplement it with your own stash of paper, stickers, washi tape and ephemera. Terry and Diane have done an tremendous amount of prep work for this class. The best part, most of the mundane cutting will be pre-done for you so you have plenty of time to focus on the fun stuff. In class you will, play with paint, stencils, die cuts, paper, inks and stains. You’ll go home with a journal with at least 4 signatures, chock full of yummie, crunchy pages with hidden nooks and crannies to fill with all your secrets.
