Aug 15 – Summer Brilliance Artist Opening 1-4 pm – Meet Joyce Ritter, art quilter, pastel artist John Davis Held & jeweler Peter Kosterich during their Sunday opening & join us for refreshments! Summer Brillance Artists:
Joyce Ritter, who claims to have thread wrapped around her genes, has gone from traditional quilt patterns to quilt “painting” extraordinaire in 5 short years! Joyce works from her own photographs to come up with art quilts that people can’t believe are made of fabric! She will be hosting a Saturday Studio Demo on Aug 28th, 1-4 pm. John Davis Held loves to create, and he loves to travel. John seems to absorb the very essence of the places he visits, then working from memory he turns them into the beautiful pastoral landscape paintings for which he is known. Peter Kosterich’s second career as a jewelry designer has been developing since he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute in New York. Always a creative, Peter embraced jewelry design only after 36 years of owning his own business – or just in time! Saturday Studio Demo TBA.
