Event Details

Learn from a professional how to carve, saw, file, and perfectly shape a pendant from metal in only 2.5 hours at Alumia Design Studio.

Discover the art of metalwork jewelry making in this 2.5-hour hands-on workshop at Alumia Design Studio in Savage Mill. Using a jeweler’s saw, you’ll design and carve your very own pendant – choosing from our collection of silhouette templates or bringing your own printed custom design.

This workshop is perfect for beginners, couples, or small groups (up to 6 people) looking for a fun, creative experience. Whether you keep your pendant or gift it, you’ll leave with a unique, hand-carved piece of jewelry to treasure.

✨ What you’ll learn:

  • How to use a jeweler’s saw and tools to create detailed designs
  • Techniques for clean, precise sawing
  • Tips for personalizing your pendant with your own design

You’ll choose to work in brass or sterling silver.

The metal sheets we carve on are purchased separately in the workshop (0.8 mm thick):

  • Brass: 3×3 cm = $10 | 4×4 cm = $15 | 5×5 cm = $20
  • Sterling Silver: 3×3 cm = $40 | 4×4 cm = $70 | 5×5 cm = $100

💎 Finishing touches: Alumia offers in-house gold plating services, so you can have your pendant gold plated after the workshop if you’d like! You can also purchase a chain in-store (various types available) or bring your own chain to complete your piece.

All other tools and materials are provided. No prior experience is needed!

📍 Details:

  • Duration: 2 hours +
  • Ages: 12+
  • Location: Alumia Design Studio, Savage Mill – New Weave building (small purple shop next to Bearing Gifts, across from Candles by  Candy and the same floor as the Savage Fencing Club). Free parking in either main Savage Mill lot.

Come join us for a fun, inspiring jewelry experience and leave with a pendant you designed yourself!
