Level Up Paper Cutting with Anna White

NOTE: Though this is more advanced for those who took my earlier paper cutting class, anyone who wishes to take this class is welcome, and the koi piece will be available to learn the art of paper cutting.

Step up your paper cutting skills in this workshop where you will work with a detailed design that will add new dimension to your pieces. Learn the order of operation in creating more complex pieces and layering design and color to create depth. Each of your pieces will be unique and I am excited to see where each piece ends up. There will be techniques using ArtFoamies and stencils to lay out design that you will be able to take even further when designing your own pieces moving forward.

In this class you will receive a new X-acto which is yours to keep, and you will leave with a framed 5×7 inch piece.

All the materials will be provided for this class. I recommend bringing a ruler, pencil, and self-healing cutting mat if you have one.

Cutting paper to create artwork has been used for centuries within multiple cultures from around the globe. The earliest paper cuts date back to the Han dynasty in the 4th Century AD.  These techniques have been used to make incredibly detailed pieces and can be made from one piece of paper or by layering multiple sheets.

Note: If this is your first paper cutting class, please leave me a note on your order to let me know.
