Design & Saw Your Own Ring – Level 1:  Create the first stage of your handmade ring in brass or sterling silver.

Join us for a creative and hands-on ring making workshop at Alumia Design Studio, where you’ll begin creating your own custom ring from sterling silver or brass.

Important: This is a Level 1 ring making workshop. You will design and hand-cut your ring strip during class, and the final ring will be shaped, soldered, polished, and finished after class.

In this unique workshop, you’ll plan and design your ring, learn how to work with a professional jeweler’s saw, and hand-cut your design while working at a traditional bench pin. You’ll be guided step by step as you create the flat ring strip that will later become your finished handmade ring.

This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to experience real jewelry-making techniques in a fun, approachable way. You do not need any previous experience — just patience, creativity, and a willingness to work carefully with your hands.

After completing your ring strip, you’ll have two options:

Option 1: Studio Finished Ring
Leave your ring design with us, and we will professionally shape, solder, polish, and finish it for you. You may choose a glossy, matte, or stardust finish. This finishing service is included in your original ticket price. Finished rings are usually ready within a few days. You may pick up your ring for free at Alumia Design Studio, or we can ship it to you for an additional $10.

Option 2: Continue to Ring Making Level 2
If you’d like to complete the full ring-making process yourself, you can join our Ring Making Level 2 workshop at a discounted returning-student price of $65. In Level 2, you’ll learn how to shape, solder, round, polish, and finish your own ring with guidance.

Ticket Options:

Brass Ring Ticket — $160
Includes workshop instruction, use of tools, and brass material for one handmade ring project.

Sterling Silver Ring Ticket — $185
Includes workshop instruction, use of tools, and sterling silver material for one handmade ring project.

Optional Add-On:

High-quality gold plating is available after your ring is completed for an additional $29. Gold plating can be added to either brass or sterling silver rings and will require extra processing time.

We’re right next to Bearing Gifts, in front of the candle shop, and on the same floor as the fencing club. You can park in either of the two main Savage Mill parking lots — both are just a short walk away.
