Savage Fencing Club

The Savage Fencing Club will be hosting tournaments in epee (Saturday) and foil (Sunday) on the weekend of September 10-11.  This tournament, for competitors aged 40 and up, will draw fencers from Maryland, Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and elsewhere.   Many of the fencers will have competed in -- and been finalists at -- U.S. National Fencing Championships and World Championships. This will be a great opportunity to stop by and watch some top-flight competitors in one of the original Olympic sports.  Admission is free.

The Choco Therapy has been running for 22 years, with the first tournament taking place at the now-defunct Baltimore Fencing Center, in Columbia. It draws foil and epee fencers from as far away as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Georgia, among other states.   The top eight in each event will receive an engraved medal, and the top two men and top two women will each receive a box of chocolate truffles. All attendees will have a chance to snack on free chocolates provided by the club, at this Valentine's Day-themed event. There is no charge for spectators.

The Choco Therapy has been running for 22 years, with the first tournament taking place at the now-defunct Baltimore Fencing Center, in Columbia. It draws foil and epee fencers from as far away as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Georgia, among other states.   The top eight in each event will receive an engraved medal, and the top two men and top two women will each receive a box of chocolate truffles. The Savage Fencing Club will be hosting two exciting fencing tournaments for Veterans (fencers over the age of 40) this weekend.   Competitors will be coming from as far away as New York City and St. Louis, Missouri, to compete.   The top male and female finishers will each receive a bottle of our own custom wine, Counter 6 Cabernet, and the top eight in each event will earn an engraved medal.  Non-alcoholic options will also be made available to winners.   Fencing is one of the original Olympic sport, and we are going to have some very good fencers at our club on this weekend!

Finalists will receive engraved medals, and the top male and female finishers will each receive a box of fine chocolate truffles from Sweet Cascades Chocolatier, located in the Mill. Stop by to watch some of the best fencers in the Middle Atlantic region compete in this original Olympic sport! There is no charge for spectators.
