About This Savage Mill Business
Our psychotherapy practice provides a supportive and culturally affirming space where clients are met with compassion, warmth, and authenticity. We’re so excited to finally share our calendar of events for Black History Month at Savage Mill!
We’re honored to kick things off with Threads of Heritage, a powerful fabric exhibition curated by Leona`s Sewing Studio that celebrates culture, history, and the stories woven into every thread.
Join us February 12 at 6pm for the opening of the exhibition. Stroll through the installation, enjoy a glass of wine from @boydcruwines as you explore, and take part in our community quilt, where everyone is invited to contribute and be part of the story.
This is just the beginning of a month filled with meaningful moments, creativity, and connection. We can’t wait to celebrate together.

The first snowfalls came early to Savage this season, well before this Sunday`s winter solstice. Love snow or hate it, the blanket of winter white lay in vivid contrast to the crimson red of the newly-painted iconic Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge beside Savage Mill.

Last Saturday we were happy to host our second annual parranda, a Puerto Rican twist on traditional holiday caroling. Our friends with @cultura_plenera provided music, singing, and laughter for a beautiful celebration of the season. Thank you to everyone who joined us, bringing festive hats, handmade instruments, dancing, and tears of joy that made for a very special evening. ¡Feliz navidad!
We`re looking forward to another weekend of holiday festivities here at Savage Mill. Join us for a big highlight: the return of a Flash Mob Parranda on Saturday, Dec. 13, 6-7pm!
A parranda is Puerto Rico’s joyful twist on holiday caroling—filled with music, laughter, and community spirit. Traditionally held in homes, our friends with @cultura_plenera are bringing it to the heart of Savage Mill for a one-hour musical celebration you won’t want to miss.

Sunday afternoon`s Santa Heim history tour enjoyed this stop on the newly-repainted and illuminated Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge. The group spent an hour exploring sites that were part of the 1948-51 Santa Novelties Christmas ornament factory legacy.
Check out the "Santa Heim, Merryland: A Savage Christmas Story" exhibition, on display in the New Weave building through Jan. 9!
