🧵 The Threads of Heritage Community Quilt is ready for its next chapter!

During Black History Month, our community came together with Leona`s Sewing Studio to design a quilt using African print fabrics. Now, in celebration of @nationalsewingmonth it’s time to bring that design to life.

Join Leona`s Sewing Studio at Savage Mill on September 27 for a hands on session where you’ll help sew the individual squares together and complete the community quilt.

We`re excited to announce our new Howard County Arts Council ARTsites sculpture, "Searching" by local artist and recent University of Maryland graduate Nick Femia! Nick uses natural materials like metal and wood, bringing life to the beauty of geometric forms.

From campfire and s`mores to friendship bracelets and handcrafted drinks, last Thursday`s summer camp-themed Girls Night Out was full of laughter, relaxation, and fun shopping. Thanks to all of you who came out to play games with us and reconnect with your inner camper! And a special shout-out to the guys on our maintenance team who always help bring our dreams to reality - you rock!

Our Courtyard has been looking particularly pretty recently, the old brick walls accented by a blooming crepe myrtle and cheerful black-eyed Susans. "Plein Fun", a newly-formed group of painters, visited this week. Impressive work, right?
They`ll be back next Tuesday around 8 am, rain or shine, to work around the Mill, and welcome guests!
